KGS begins research with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on Low-Lift Cooling Technologies

Written by Admin | Saturday, January 01, 2011

KGS is working with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to advance and deploy low-lift cooling technologies for commercial buildings. Low-lift cooling is an energy efficient cooling strategy developed through research at PNNL and MIT that utilizes variable capacity chillers, thermal storage, radiant cooling, and model-based predictive control to shift loads and operate chillers more efficiently, leading to significant energy savings.
